From the Director,
Paul van de Loo
Based in Adelaide, Australia, we live and breathe product design engineering. Our consulting mechanical, mechatronic and electronics product design engineers thrive on the more challenging projects. I started Applidyne in 1993 as a way to increase my involvement in the development of new technologies and products. With a background in defence engineering, the thought of adding a real cost constraint to analysis, R&D and product design projects was both daunting and an irresistible challenge. Twenty-five years later, with a dedicated team of mechanical and electronic consulting engineers, I think we can say that we are on track. The passion and talent of our engineers enable us to surprise clients with innovative product designs that translate to a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Product design engineering, analysis and R&D is what we do best. Our consulting mechanical and electronics engineers at our Adelaide, Australia HQ can handle your product design project.
Products that we have developed have achieved commercial success in sectors including healthcare and medical, building products, consumer products, mining, automotive and agriculture.
Our electrical and electronic design experience spans from embedded micro-controllers to the design of electro-magnetic actuators.
We have experience ranging from one off designs such as production line testers, to high volume price sensitive consumer electronics.
Our engineers analyse complex dynamic as well as static systems using various techniques ranging from first principles mathematical modelling through to the use of standard modelling packages such as Algor FEA and Ansys.
Our senior engineers conduct technical investigations of accidents and failures for legal cases, inquests and internal corporate investigations. Our Technical Director regularly serves as an expert witness for mechanical engineering related accidents and failures. We also conduct feasibility studies and technology assessments for a diverse range of clients from government departments through to venture capitalists.
